NZ Maths week

Hi Parents! This week is NZ maths week and we are encouraging our students to get onto www.mathsweek.co.nz and participate in the activities to increase their number knowledge. Each day we have had a Schoolwide maths challenge to participate in. Our class has now won three prizes for estimating the correct answer! Go Room 8! I have attached a picture of Tristan as he won the Jellybean guess and as you can see from the picture he is pretty proud of himself!

ROOM 8 OLYMPICS!!!

We have had such a great time learning about the Olympic games and how much they have changed over the years. Did you know that women were not allowed to compete in the early olympics? How crazy is that! Some of our best olympians are women!

We decided as a class to think up some of our own olympic events to compete in... below is a list of our events we participated in yesterday:
